Who is AO Flores?
AO Flores has been a guest speaker at several universities, seminaries and conferences throughout the United States, including Cal State University at Fullerton, Talbot Seminary, Taylor University, GodBlogCon, and Emergent’s Worship Arts Liturgy and Preaching conference at Asbury Theological Seminary. He has received invitations to write for and/or contribute interviews to various metropolitan publications on various topics. In 2005, Aaron published online a culmination of three years of research titled, “An Exploration of the Emerging Church in the U.S.: The Missiological Intent and Potential Implications for the Future.”
AO Flores was been highly involved in establishing non-profits, focused on urban revitalization, justice, creativity, and cultural artistry creating artistic and creative events throughout the United States, opening an art gallery, and bringing the arts to at-risk communities. His artistic endeavors have been featured in multiple regional newspapers and magazines.
In late 2004, he launched theVoiz.com pioneering videoblogging, which has been described as him sharing “his thoughts on life, faith, family, fears, and doubts that are by far the most raw and truthful look at spirituality and religion” online. The underlining message of his online presence highlighted Thomas Merton’s thought that the highest spiritual development is to be ordinarily human. In early 2009, he launched Ordinary Human described as his spiritual video memoir based on a book concept inspired by Thomas Merton’s thought on spirituality.
AO Flores is a graduate of Vanguard University of Southern California with degrees in Business (BA, 2003) and Religion/Leadership Studies (MA, 2005). He currently resides in Metro Washington DC where he does non-profit consulting.
